I'll start it off.
my first white 914 was a 6 with a 2.7RS and then my current build... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) both of these cars were orignally L80E. the 6 was repainted before I bought it in L908 (Grand Prix White) and I decided I liked the brighter L908 for the '75 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/white914.jpg) Attached image(s) |

....Grasshopper......you can switch plates to any car you own I do it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) (at least in Cali) You can also go out & find the appropriate year/color vintage plates off a wreck, swap meet, etc. & petition to have them reassigned to your car by Cal-DMV - so long as they're not still attached to any other car. So for you folks who have CA white plates, you can go back to blue/gold or black/gold (gold = yellow) plates appropriate to your 914's MY, if you can scare up a pair of old unused plates somewhere! I put a post with the info & links on here a while back for that - FYI to anyone needing to do this: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act...=2&t=104349 BTW - I think the Grasshopper was by someone other than Jeff, but part of the story is on the Matsuda Bumblebee 914-2.0-SL post by George, where folks started posting about other LE's, as well as at Jeff's 914 CANAM site & LE Registry. So - no comments on my "Blueberry" idea?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |

BTW - I think the Grasshopper was by someone other than Jeff ... oh no - that's definitely Jeff's built he converted the light ivory car (from the photo with his son) to the GH I always liked the look of his GH So - no comments on my "Blueberry" idea?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) maybe someone could do a nice photoshop preview? I'd say olympic blue L51P would be cool; it's a correct MY'74 colour and might look very nice any PS guys here ?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
