I've had the engine out of the car to fix some oil leaks and upon removing the flywheel, there was only two shims, and one of them was just about destroyed. Your trust is fuched, tear down time.
If you can't get it to spec with 3 shims you're done, 4 shims and the crank throw will hit a main bearing web. If you're lucky it's just the bearing, if not it's a line bore and bearings with an OS thrust. |
