Picked up car from shop tonight and she runs good. You may recall my story regarding the 3k 'surprise' shop bill. Well, the shop owner said he'd fix the issue specific to the carb work he previously performed. It does appear he fixed the problem as it relates to the vacume leak - located at the intake manifold. Car is running strong and no more carb popping/backfire. Still have exhaust popping issue on decel. He doesn't think its the exhaust gaskets but rather two possible problems 1) hairline crack at header flange on right side 2) he still thinks my triad exhaust is problem (no baffels)? While I still have heartburn over how things went down with the shop bill, i do believe he wanted to make things right bewteen us and with the car which I appreciated. Expensive yet VALUABLE lesson.

Anyway - i'm just glad to have her back and driveable. Hoping to make it out to ECC next weekend. I'd be coming out 70 thru Frederick - anyone else leaving out of Frederick?

BTW - went shopping last weekend including lift, jacks, ect. Looking forward to tackling some of the more minor work "inhouse" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)

Glad it all ended well. Now get out there and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) that baby and have some fun. When you finish with ECC make sure to drive on down to the Dragon for the MUSR11. Join the convoy coming from that area.
