I had an Actron timing light with an advance dial. It worked like a champ for about 2 years, and now it does not work at all.

I'd like to get another timing light that is going to last longer that has an advance dial to it so that I only need to shoot TDC to get my timing right - but that is also going to last a while. I probably only used the timing light 10 times before it died.

I had a cheap Sears unit that worked fine until I installed my Mallory multi-spark ignition. I don't know it my unit was just way too cheap or if the multi-spark ignition gives them all fits. Maybe someone can address this issue. In the mean time, I've gone with a cheapo regular timing light and calibrated my timing marks when I built the engine.
