(IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) I can think of a whole lot of better things to do to a 944 turbo.
Dump €14 750 into a 951 and you would have a wicked fast machine that looks like it should. Not sure I've ever heard 944's refered to as "ugly" before now. IMHO 944's are gorgeous and overall the best handling/driving cars I've ever owned. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Your 914 has the wrong suspension, or its on jack stands. 944 cant hold a candle to the 914 when it comes to handling. Once you finally put a large enough bar up front to stop the body roll, the rear becomes way to tail happy. Rich |

Rich My 914 is a sheridan body V8 with 8.5 & 10X18 wheels, 200lb springs with konis and weighs 2300lbs and I've owned it for 18 years and drive it regularly. It is an amazingly well handling car. You are correct. My 944S2 CAN'T hold a candle to it in the corners. However...my 914 also doesn't have a heater, AC, power windows, locks, seats, cruise, four seats (kinda), a cavernous rear hatch area that can hold a surprising amount of stuff, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I would never compare the handling of a 914 to a 944 which is why I specifically used the words "OVERALL", handling and DRIVING" Maybe I chose the wrong words, I dunno? Just giving 944's props because I think they are fabulous daily drivers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) |
