I have been thinking about using a 911 center console from an SC or 80s Carrera for my 914. Make a plate to cover the storage bin for the gauges.
using one of these (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Attached image(s) |

Don't know Mark...that was one of my quandaries.
I guess until I find one to test fit I won't know unless someone here has tried it. Will also have to make a slot for the heater floor control...but that would be easy with a carbide side cut bit on the Dremel and some careful measuring. Even if it didn't reach all the way up to the dash wouldn't be a deal breaker since they didn't reach all the way to the dash in a 911 anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I am going to see if I can find a cheap test subject and see how it fits. If it works it might be a nice addition to the car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
