I am a novice with respect to Porsches and the 914 specifically. I have always been attracted to the 914 GT and hoped to own one. I am now at a point that I can begin my research and hopefully locate one.

Can anyone help me gather information on the model and pricing and availability?

Thanks

there wasn't "one kit" to make a GT
everything was available as single part, so that every customer could built the GT as he liked it
there were GTs with 100l gas tank, others with the stock 60l tank
some had "S-Calipers", others had "908-Calipers"
some had a 2.0 S engine @ 160HP, others a 2.0 double ignition @ 220HP
and so on

check out the "Sporttechnischer Leitfaden" - there are lots of parts listed (don't know if all?)

Gusti is dead on, just a sports kit or rally package with different options, origional kit cost 10k in 1971, if you purchased a dealer gt car the cost was around 16k vs 6k for stock 914-6 car.
