Hi folks,
I heard rumors, that you can use stub axles from a later modell 944 (944 s2 or 944 turbo) in combination with early 911 rear hubs. The trick is , that the splines of the 944 stub axle fits into the early 911 hubs. On the other side it should be possible to use the outer cv-joints of the same 944 modell which provides splines for the 914/4 axles. That would be a very cheap alternative to the expensive 914/6 stub axles ... does anyone is using this combination ? here's a small sketch of the proposed setup : greetings ... QUOTE(tat2dphreak @ Apr 2 2004, 11:35 PM) THAT is a killer! many of the parts seem cheaper than here, but with the shipping, you pay a lot more! Yeah... welcome to my world (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) cheers, Jeroen |
