I did a search looking for new type iv heads and came up with these.
SCAT VW- Split-Port Cylinder Heads Has anyone used these, they look like would keep the hreads cooler. Attached image(s) ![]() |

They'll "fit" Type IV engines, but the exhaust is still facing the wrong direction......from what I read, only one casting (2, one right and one left), but it can be machined to fit different cases....
the exhaust can be made to work, you'd just need custom headers.... I think Jake built an engine using these, swore never to touch them again...(whatever happened to that motor, did he get the supercharger working??) Is that price for one head or a pair or all 4??? I hate it when they don't list stuff like that. I think they'd be a good platform for converting to watercooled heads............ |
