Wish my car had been ready too. Could have at least had it in corral.

First was a 1970 914-6 belonging to Klaus Kindor of Placentia. Bright Red with full flares, this thing was about as far as you can go with a 6 and still have all Porsche parts on it. All suspension and brakes were from various years of 911 turbos. Looked like well over $100k into that build.

The second was a 1974 factory racer 914-6, now in the collection of Don Murray in Laguna Beach. This car, in signal orange I believe, was simply stunning. It was the 914-6 that waas previously in Bruce Canepa's shop and was glimpsed in an episode of "Chasing Classic Cars" when Wayne Carini gasped, "look aat that 914!" The "Fly Lufthansa" decaled car stood next to Chad McQueens's race-worn 911S and the two of them together kept me occupied for an hour.

No pics yet, but will post when I get back home.
