I will convert to a 911 steering column. I have parts for both (with the exception of an early horn contact), and am debating in my head of which one to use.

If I use the early parts, it would "look" more period correct, but the switches just aren't as nice and seem to be harder to come by. If I use the later model 911 parts, I can easily get replacements, but it just won't look the same.

I'm a little biased toward using the early parts, but I'm still "on the fence" when it comes to deciding.

Thanks for your input.

I believe that Wayne nailed it. Headlight washers.

I wondered about that.

In any event, I'm down to extending the 3 wires for the fog light switch, and re-facing my dash with fresh vinyl.

I found my washer pump is dead, but the circuit works.
