Gint made it by my house today. He check out alot of things like my rust problem is not that bad. That on one side my car some one flared out my fender so it makes my wheels look of alinment. Help me put in the supports on my gas tanks. Told me how to fix my doors. Told me how to put new transmission fluid in. Found out why my car is idleing high. Plus answered all my questions. Im stick stuck on fixing my gears cause he said he's never messed with that stuff before. Now when I try to switch it into reverise it goes into second gear. I just need to adjustest it. They came on the 70-71 MY cars. It was when they switched to the the pull clutch assembly before moving to the 915 so it works well on a 914 when flipped around.
901 - 66-69 911 - 70-71 915 - 72-you get the picture Haven't delved into the procedure however, there are those here on the board who have (can't remember who at the time). Mine's a fresh rebuild and yes, I believe it's a flip-and-go type thing. Bruce Anderson turned me on to it stating that Chuck Stoddard did it and it made a slick conversion with the pull clutch assembly. I'll get more into that when the time comes but it's on the shelf waiting to go. |
