I jus acquired a fuel injected 1.7 ltr. engine, and i'm gonna have the case machined for 96 mm pistons & have some head work done.Is there anything i need to do to convert from F.I. to caburation,or can you jus make the swap? would it better to stick with the F.I. or make the conversion? The case doesnt need machined for the 96's. You'll need to machine the heads for the 96mm barrels however (only the 1.7 heads need this type of machine work) The 1.8 and 2.0 heads will accept the 96's with no machine work.

What is your intended use of the car ? 99% track or 50/50 street/track ?
