(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) I'm looking to fine tune the injection on my '70 914 and am considering a LM-1 meter to take out the guess work. Has anyone done much work with one of these? Or suggest a different model meter?

It may not be where the factory set the MPS.. for fuel economy and emissions
but these motors make better power in the range of 12.8-13.2 to 1 at Wide open throttle. Thats what I tuned for |

It may not be where the factory set the MPS.. for fuel economy and emissions but these motors make better power in the range of 12.8-13.2 to 1 at Wide open throttle. Thats what I tuned for its where the "Factory" set these up at...as I have tested several NOS mps's to get the readings. With my post I just gave away all my secrets. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) The factory never set them up to 14.7 to 1. At WOT you need to get a ton of fuel to dump into the engine (11.5 to 1) like a accel pump on a carb setup. Then as the engine revs the MPS slowly leans out til 5000 rpms where is about maxed out but still "if" you rev to 6000 its got enough fuel so you are ok. |
