Ferg,
Believe me I know it would boost the value if I were to sell it. But I really do not like gold...on anything.

I don't know, this is kind of a process I am going through.

Fortunately my car is likely one year away from paint (if I am lucky) so it is not a decision I need to make right now. My car is black at present but it will definitely not stay black. Irish Green is a pretty likely choice as my last six was Irish Green and I always liked it. It will be a total media blast repaint so unless one looks at the COA they will not realize the color change. I will even change the Karman tag with the color code on the door frame as the painter who did the black back in 72 or 73 just painted it over and it has been painted once more since then in the late 80's apparently.

These are the things that keep me awake at night....

Ohhhh Kaayy, Here's a couple of shots of my '71 that I took 9 years to get right....it was a driveable basket case when I got it, painted white, had been in the PO's garage for 18 years not getting repaired from a front end dent-in. When I pulled the rocker covers I discovered this delicious gold metallic glowing back at me & realized that even though I would never have chosen a gold color, this one was positively luminous! Played hell finding a close match with Sikkens & Glasurit at the local paint dealer, finally settled and went with base/clear--it got pretty close and is a real looker in the sunlight, less so if dirty and in the shade. New owner is in the DC/Balto area & I've moved on to a '72 yellow goldilocks 916 replica with Raby kit....
