I thought I remembered seeing a link at another msg board, about tire size + offset fitments on stock fenders. I'm thinking 15x7's, with +23mm offset and 205/50/15's? what about 225's? Wonder if they will fit. I am hoping I win some old BBS's that are 15x7's on ebay, and want to see what size tires I can find for them. thanks!

Ok, this is not right answer to your question and I know some will disagree this, but I think you can not use 7 inch wide rims with 23 ET in narrow body 914 at rear. At least you will need heavy baseball bat rolling or you can use only 195 wide tires.
I have 7 inch wide BBS rims with 23 ET and I will use 205mm wide tires. I have desided to solve the problem this way: (IMG:http://kotisivu.mtv3.fi/914-6/KUVIA/5.jpg) (IMG:http://kotisivu.mtv3.fi/914-6/KUVIA/7.jpg) I moved the bearing carrier 15 mm inwards.
