I thought I remembered seeing a link at another msg board, about tire size + offset fitments on stock fenders. I'm thinking 15x7's, with +23mm offset and 205/50/15's? what about 225's? Wonder if they will fit. I am hoping I win some old BBS's that are 15x7's on ebay, and want to see what size tires I can find for them. thanks!

Hi,
I'm running 225-55-16 tires on a 16x6 fuch wheel. They clear the trailing arm and the inner fender but not by much. I had to massage the outer fender on the drivers side a bit but that was it. A 225 tires on a 16x6 rim is a bit too much i think. The tire is sticking out from the rim pretty much. I had to run a DE (my first one) with these tires as they didn't want me to put my AX tires (195-50-14 Toyo proxess RA-1) on the car so I could learn the feel of my car. We had a big left hand hairpin at the end of a staight. After inspection, i noticed that the passengers side tire had rubbed at a certain point on the inner fender and the trailing arm. Must of been tire deflection. HTH Marc-Andre |
