I'm looking for the best newbie, super clear rebuild book for a 914 '76 2.0.

I only expect to have to remove the heads & cylinders, but want to do it right, and won't have a ton of time to do it.

Any best guides would be really great! Thanks

I vote Tom Wilson's How to Rebuild Your VW Aircooled Engine. It covers both Type 1 and Type 4. I rebuilt my first bus engine in High School with that book and it's been my guide ever since.

I'm sure Jake's DVD is excellent too and if you are a visual learner pick that up for sure!

There are some good Youtube videos out there if you search and this site by one of our members here is excellent:
