I know this car was talked about before but I have a question. In the June issue of excellence there is a story on a slightly modified 75 914. One of the things done was to remove the backpad and just use black carpet behind the seats. From the magazine photo I can't really tell if I like it or not. Has anyone here done this? Got pics?

Garold -
I've been considering doing the same thing to the 914-6 in my garage (with the fixed passenger seat like yours). The car isn't so nice that the loss of a backpad will effect the value. By the way - I have pics of your car in my driveway from back when Adam still owned it. I'll see if I can dig them up and post them for you. Nice car - and a ton of fun to drive with the European pistons. Glad to see it ended up with someone who can appreciate it! Matt |
