I was there with my son in my 83SC and totally agree with the poor organization. We got there about 8:00 and we were pre-registered so check in went quick, I thought that was a good sign (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) . We didn't know if there was a parking order so we just pulled in next to another car. Then was sat.........and sat.........and sat. No signs, no communication nothing. We were looking for the vendors/swap meet that was advertised ( assuming it was in the parking lot ). We hiked to the bathroom a few times to get out of the wind. I don't remember what time it was but all of a sudden engines started firing up, I assumed either folks were pissed and were leaving or the event had started. You didn't know because there was no communication !!! We got in line and made our way into the track. We got to the point where once again everything came to a stop. After sitting stopped for 15 minutes my son and I decided to venture out to see if there was anything to see in the infield. And that's when we came across the vendor/swap meet area which I thought was a joke. I did see Charles Navarro and I did end up buying a Matchbox 914 car from a vendor but the rest was pretty poor. We then ventured on to the food vendor and got some grub. While eating we heard engines firing up......oh $hit what's going on ? We briskly walked to our car and saw people going around our parked car as they headed to the track. Yep again no communication WTF ???? When we FINALLY got on the track that was fun and I'm glad I have an air/oil cooled dry sump car vs. wet sump because I heard all kinds of comments from folks with 996/997/boxsters that their PSMS systems were going crazy I wonder if they REALLY knew what was going on with their engines ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I was glad to spend time with my son and met some nice people but overall it was a waste of my time. Maybe the organizer will learn from this and be able to put on a better event in the future.
