I suppose I can call the dealer tomorrow but thought someone might have gone down this road. Are the seatbelts available new or are they NLA?

The new belts will have to be tightened as well (ask me how I know). The springs just get tired from the years of being wound up. The tension system is separate from the impact function and one doesn't effect the other. However, it is well known fact that if you have a loose belt on at the time of impact, your injury will likely be higher since you will "impact" the belt instead of being restrained by it.
Having to fiddle with the belts to get them to retract is annoying but easily fixed. |
