I hear you about the 961 and being a Le Mans fan. The 961 is great to look at and really advanced. BUT from a racing standpoint @ Le Mans: 1970 Le Mans, Porsche 914, first in class, SIXTH overall 1986 Le Mans, Porsche 961, first in class, SEVENTH Overall Lets see...How many finishers were there in 1970? That's right...SEVEN! The 914-6 that won it's class was indeed a hell of a car... Top 85% finisher in that particular event. However, the 961 was a top 36% finisher in 1986...against much faster cars. 7th overall OUT OF 19 classified finishers. Had Jeff's 914 been THE class winner from 1970, that may have swayed my vote Zwartward. |
