Have the opportunity to buy this ....
'75 1.8. Has 4 Fuchs (couple missing in pictures), Tree fell and bent windshield and cracked top. Rear trunk rusted. Front trunk solid. Supposedly running not too long ago. Plan would be to buy and tear apart to learn a 914. Keep/Sell the goodies and scrap the rust Thoughts? Will take $500 to buy it. I figured wheels are $350 to $400 (I don't need them...I have 4 sets of Fuchs now), complete engine/transmission a few hundred, center console/gauges, miscellaneous bits, etc.
I'm really just interested in tearing one apart to learn (and make mistakes) on a car other than my own! |

That's what I did on a similar car and it was worth it. I only paid 200 but up to 500 is still ok and its a great education. |
