I remember when 1 out of every 2 914s had a little spoiler sitting on the rear trunk. Now I only see them on teener racers. Is it too high of a poser factor, totally unkuhl, a fashion trend, instigated by aliens from Mars?

My 70' came with a rear wing that must weigh a ton with all the bondo used to try and smooth over the gap between the lid and wing. Thing is so heavy that PO never installed a lock or hold down clips, it doesn't move, even if clearing railroad tracks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
