I thought I remembered seeing a link at another msg board, about tire size + offset fitments on stock fenders. I'm thinking 15x7's, with +23mm offset and 205/50/15's? what about 225's? Wonder if they will fit. I am hoping I win some old BBS's that are 15x7's on ebay, and want to see what size tires I can find for them. thanks!

I have 15x7 cookie cutters with 205/50 Kumhos. They fit great (with rear lip rolling) and are cheap...like $700 for 4 decent condition wheels AND 4 new DOT-R tires, hard to beat that.
IIRC the 911 cookie cutters are the same offset as the 911 Fuchs from the same vintage. The cookies were the "standard alloy" (i.e. unless you paid for the Fuchs) on tons of 911s, so they are pretty plentiful. Coincidentally I am planning to go to 16x7's. Lower profile tire and also more clearance to raise the strut spindles. |
