I went out and started my blue 914 this morning and it runs perfect (to me) as long as the oil filler cap is Off it runs GREAT.

I'm guessing that it should'nt be blowing air out of the oil filler hole but it is, there is no color to it just plain ole air.

We know I can't run it with no oil filler cap so whats the fix??

On my engine the hose from the filler neck goes to the TB there is no pcv valve anywhere to be found nor can I find any reference to one anywhere in the Haynes manual.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

What does the PCV look like and where does it go exactly

it's part of the filler top. take the whole (black) filler top off.
look where the vent hose connects, if you see metal mesh baffles, you don't have a PCV valve, if not you do have one. the valve is inside the filler top box.
