I went out and started my blue 914 this morning and it runs perfect (to me) as long as the oil filler cap is Off it runs GREAT.
I'm guessing that it should'nt be blowing air out of the oil filler hole but it is, there is no color to it just plain ole air. We know I can't run it with no oil filler cap so whats the fix?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

Sounds to me like you have a whole lot of blow-by from the engine, but what do I know?!? I don't think there should be that much air blowing out of the filler tube. I believe there was a thread not too long ago about venting it to a catch box of some type, or was that venting the heads? hmm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) , sorry, I probably just confused you more.
