ok, below is a original Porsche 914 Part that i had never seen before.
it is, however, crucial to keep our little cars on the road! he/she who can guess first where it goes and what function it has will get a (1) free Beer on me at the WCC! oh, and all the guys who came to the Jenny Fix-Her-Car-Sit-In today are exempt! so (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stfu.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) here it is (says "S 202" on it), oh and it's from a '73 2.0L ... : Attached image(s) |

QUOTE(SirAndy @ May 31 2004, 12:37 PM) QUOTE(johnlush @ May 31 2004, 09:43 AM) My guess is that it's a plug that seals off fog light mounting holes on cars that don't have fog lights installed. this is close enough! now WE HAVE A WINNER !!! Mr. johnlush (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) tadaaaa, here it is: it's a plastic cap that is glued into the mounting nut/thread for the additional (optional) second horn on the passanger side. the part is crucial to keeping our cars on the road because if omitted, water will enter the area under the headlight bucket and rust trough the front mounting point for the A-Arm. come to the WCC and collect your prize! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Andy I knew that useless knowledge would come in handy someday! I would love to make the WCC but it aint happenin' this year. I guess we can tip a "virtual one" or, maybe I should take bids for transfer rights! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
