I purchased an old set of gauges from a member and had plans to do the LED upgrade. Found out that Mark (Newvintageusa) was unable to do the work, they are swamped with other stuff. I talked to Al Garcia, (awesome Guy) and he is fighting cancer on a day by day basis, and he was not able to do the job in any quick timeframe. (prayers for ya Al) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I jumped onto the world wide web and found a company that does LED kits on Ebay. They have never actually done any work on these types of gauges before, but I figured Hey, i have another set if they mess them up. What the Heck, Why Not.

A week later (today actually) the guy calls and said the gauges are done. He took everything apart cleaned them and painted the needles with a ultraviolet paint. The needles actually glow (how cool is that) and the L E D strips are unbelieveable. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

The guys name is Zach,

They do not dim unless you get an LED Dimmer, I am sure they sell it. I picked a random company and found a really cool connection. He also said that a group buy would be no problem.

I paid a total of $145.00 with priority UPS Shipping. I realize that is a lot to some people considering that Mark does them at 35 bucks ea and Al does them for 30 bucks each, but they are not able to do the work quick.

These guys did it within a week and painted them, I think it was worth every dollar spent. If you want a group buy he said to let him know.

Did they freshen up the gauge housing plate too? Or did you do that yourself? Or did you have it powder coated somewhere? This is my "it's snowing and I"m not going to drive my 914" project.
