How many weeks would you wait to get your money back on a return check for an item sold in the Classified ads here before you tell everyone the nasty details?
short version: mailed a check April 5 cleared the bank April 12 parts not recieved until May 16 opened box to find they were not what i expected. mailed back May 19 still no refund. as of June 4 - still on vacation... today is June 30 still no refund... How long would you wait before telling the rest of the story? |

I think they give you only a month to resolve things with paypal. After that, you're out of luck. Just saying how it's done legally these days. Happened to me buying an original 72 bus air cleaner and carbs of samba with paypal. I gave the guy a break after no show for 2 weeks, called him, sob story, he was going to ship, 2 more weeks no show, no answer and I was screwed out of $200. If it's not going to happen by 1 month later, you have to call the bank that the account is set up through, initiate the process, agree to testify against them, which seemingly will not ever happen. The bank then sends you letters to the effect that if you authorized the payment, then they won't deal with it. This is Wells Fargo. Again, different situation from yours maybe, but after a month, I'd say it's probably played out.

The Cap'n Yeah, my thinking is, if that's how long banks allow, that is how long you as an individual should allow. I think it's logical anyway. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
