Hi all,
wanted to post some of my latest illustrations that I've done for folks. I have gotten several pm's from members here asking about the price of a custom peice. So as not to anger the mods I've posted the pricing in the memorabilia section here: But it boils down to a little more than minimum wage. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=190345 I currently have 2 cars in the cue, a 350z, and a 57 Chevy, so it will be first come first serve and each illustration takes between 25-30hrs. Enjoy and thanks for looking. 07 911 CS ![]() 73 914 1.7 ![]() 74 914 STI 2.0 ![]() 12 CTSV ![]() 73 Firebird ![]() 68 Firebird ![]() 67 Cutlass ![]() ChuckC |

Chuck, Those are beautiful and so clean looking. How do you create them? They look like digital or air brushed images. What software do you use? I used to do real media like pen and ink and acrylics and would like to get into computer media. Thanks, John |

I used to do real media like pen and ink and acrylics and would like to get into computer media. Thanks, John Hi John, thanks for the kind words. The 73 Firebird started out as hand drawn line art, the 911 started out in Photoshop where I basically traced the contour lines of the body then converted those lines to vector in Illustrator, the CTSV was done entirely in Illustrator so it varies. However it gets started the car is then built out in Illustrator (CS5). Once I have the car done I take it to Photoshop where I create the background. I have, and have made, several high res brushes that I layer and build up to give it that painterly look. The whole process generally take 25-30 hours. Illustrator and Photoshop would be good for you to learn if you want to get into it. If you can find a "training center" like Noble Desktop, where you can take a 1 or 2 day introductory class to the programs you'll qualify for a student rate on the programs that will save you $$$. Then you'd be best off getting an Adobe "Classroom in a Book". I actually had a professor that walked into the studio dropped the books off and walked out and only came back to test us at the end of chapters. If you start getting into it and have questions pm me. peace, Chuck |
