This one arrived Saturday from Awesome Powdercoat. I havent installed it yet, but thought I'd post a couple of photos.
The opening temps are appropriate for the TypeIV, showing the markings.... So far, it popped right into the mount with a factory like fit. Very nice. I may try to get it installed today, and will throw in some pics in action...made hier in das gut old USA. |

So far,so good. The bellows have been performing flawlessly. I drove the car to Lime Rock last weekend, and short of my still persistent start up idle issue, the car ran at a consistent 215 (according to the gauge) degrees, heavy traffic notwithstanding. (Throgs Neck Bridge, always a jam)
Based on previous warm up times, it's about half the time. Oil just doesn't transfer heat like water, so it's not gonna be like a Honda. I do feel that there is a benefit to a quicker warm up, as once I get there, the idle is no longer a problem.... Joe |
