I need to get my /6 3.0L oil cooler modified with an AN or NTP fitting. Being that my oil tank is NPT - I would think that putting a 1" NPT fitting on the oil cooler is the way to go. But I see some people say they used -16 AN.
Does it really matter what type of fitting to use for this application? Thanks. |

I think that most people have been using the -AN fittings. As long as you can make up the required hose, it probably doesn't make a lot of difference as long as the internal dimensions of the fitting don't restrict oil flow.
