Hey 914 Parking Lot Heros:
Bravo to Matthew Schneider who will be running his 914 at the Streets of Willow Springs this week-end. I can only wish all you parking-lot champs would RISK the next step to REAL track events! Some decades ago, I used to take Top Time of the Day in Dad's REAL 289 Cobra, while always knowing that it was only a step the the Real Driving On-Track. I know there are those nervous feelings of making the step, but I can Promise that the Streets of Willow Springs is the safest track anywhere: there is lots of 'spin-off room' and NOTHING TO HIT. Further, of the Time-Trial groups running these events: SpeedTrialUSA.com, SpeedVentures.com and XtremeSpeedTrackEvents.com, All offer LOW COST driving schools for beginers, followed by at least 2 levels of "intermidiate" classes which allow you to drive as you are comfortable without being DIVE-Bombed by more advanced drivers. So, I'm throwing down the Gauntlet: Are YOU MAN Enough to try a REAL Race Track? I GUARANTEE you will have a GREAT driving experience. The most often comparison: "The MOST FUN you can have with your CLOTHES ON!" While time is short to make the 03-04 Nov. event with Speed Ventures.com, they have another event on 01December at 'Streets (December is often the BEST weather all year at Willow Springs). Come-on REAL MEN! Terry |

Nice thread
but I would challenge you that RACING... does not mean going on a track Racing means WHEEL TO WHEEL competition with other cars.... I would love to see more teeners actually competing wheel to wheel ! |

Agreed: http://youtu.be/bsY_IrthO0s http://youtu.be/Ahp-E4uqrbw http://youtu.be/5U0KeDXozMc http://youtu.be/r19jISBsbFA these are just the ones I've uploaded to Youtube, thought 2011 and 2012 have been bad years for my racing career due to constant "issues" (broken suspension, stripped gears, bad set ups, spun rod bearing, etc) Looking forward to 2013 with a newly built engine, newly built tranny, new set up, new aero, etc... Got lots of DE video, but that's not racing... other video's at www.naroescapemotorsports.com |
