The sound isn't crystal clear from the rears, but I don't think it's much different than speakers mounted by the rear window in some modern coupe. Those speakers have a lot of crap in the way of your head as well. What I do know is that they really round out the sound and give you a little kick in the back to go with the bass. Now I'm thinking I should put two 4x6s in a box that size as mentioned above. Might just have to make new boxes for those. I have to do some research about 4 ohm versus 8 ohm loads on a head unit and volume effects and such. I would be running all four rear speakers off the head unit and each box would act like a single 8 ohm speaker (or 2 ohm, if the head can handle it). Might be good.
