I removed two front Boge strut inserts during my 5 lug conversion. I have promised them to a member here. I believe they are in good shape. 25,000 miles. Is that a lot of milage for Boges? Is there a good test to see if they are OK? I can move them in and out (slowly) with my hands. Anything else I can do to check them out?
Thanks, Elliot Attached image(s) ![]() |

25,000 is NOT a lot of miles for Boge inserts.
Look for oil leaking from the shaft seal, very slight dampness is OK. With them in an upright position, push them all the way in and pull them all the way out feeling for smooth even resistance. No stiff spots and no soft spots. Both should feel the same. Jim |
