I saw a pst the other day with a link to a Type 3 site. A friend of mine is bringing home a 68 1/2 Fastback w/ FI and an automatic. Any info on these cars would be appriciated.

Another good site is vwtype3.org. If you need parts, I recommend ISP West www.vwispwest.com, as they specialize in Type 3s. As far as the automatic, there's only one shop I trust with that transmission, and that is the Bug Stop in Arlington, TX www.texasbugstop.com.
