I saw a pst the other day with a link to a Type 3 site. A friend of mine is bringing home a 68 1/2 Fastback w/ FI and an automatic. Any info on these cars would be appriciated.

First, you want to join the email list at http://www.vwtype3.org. Over 400 members world-wide, it's free, and even includes a retired, VW-trained service technician of 20+ years (Russ Wolfe). We also have John Jarenson, lead composite engineer for the new Ford GT-40! He drives his VW to work (that would be FORD) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) And many other great guys (not many women, but a couple that lurk).
Second, for parts (personal plug, I'm part owner (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) ) see http://www.theddb.com. Other good sites: Mine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) at http://www.icbm.org Click on my orange Squareback.
