Hello all!
Any recommendations regarding shipping the vehicle? It's going from Vegas to Tampa. Companies? Tips when loading it on? All that good stuff. Thanks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

My issues with enclosed transport- The driver was so large he couldnt get out of the car once loaded. He bent the window frame using it for leverage. He had a huge belt buckle which he promptly dragged along the side of the car. Should have had all rings, belts removed and worn a one piece cotton overalls. Simple transport turned into insurance claims, paperwork, repairs, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) And they were a big national company.
The independent trucks that operate from dispatch centers are a crap shoot. You can get a great driver or not so great. Most could really care less about your car. If you time your move around an auction or big car show (pebble beach, Amelia as ex) you can sometimes negotiate a ride on an empty backhaul for cheap. I agree with a mom and pop or one man business probably being the best. |
