Why are 914 dashes always a different color? |

The dash in my -6 was blue. The one in the off-road car is green.
Anybody have insight as to how and why the dashes all have different colors? Attached thumbnail(s) |

They were painted with whatever color was left in the paint guns at the end of the day, then thrown on a big pile.
