I'm talking about the second style in this post from AppBiz:

I called Bob to talk about these yesterday, and he mentioned that due to the design of the latch, the pull loops require "quite a bit of force" to open.

On reflection, and having played with the striker mechanism for a bit, I'm wondering whether we're talking about "a firm pull" or "put your foot in the loop" sort of force.

Anyone with these care to comment?

Firm tug, its not too bad.
but it will make you want to take your latches apart to make sure everything is functioning correctly.
