I am looking for a good diagram of the vacuum routing for a 73 1.7. All the ones I have found are not the best. I need to know where the two lines go for the vacuum advance one the throttle body.

QUOTE(Bleyseng @ Jul 31 2004, 06:01 PM) The vacuum advance port is above the throttle plate and the retard is below the throttle plate. Actually, the hose are two sizes so look carefully at them. Geoff OK. I just need a little clarification. Is the retard port on the TB below the throttle plate when the throttle is closed and above it when the throttle is open? And is the advance port above the throttle plate when the throttle is closed and below it when the throttle is open? And what do you guys make of this: my '74 2.0, which I have had a month and I am still checking out, has both the retard and advance connected to a tee that connects to the port on the rear of the throttle body (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Sounds like some mechanic made a mistake. Maybe he saw the advance port on the distributor with nothing connected to it and "fixed" it? Andrew This post has been edited by phantom914: Aug 1 2004, 12:24 AM |
