The dash in my 2.0 is showing its age and I dont want to spend the $500 for a replacement, so I was wondering how the dash caps work and if they show any sign that a cap is covering the dash.

I installed one on my car about 6 years ago. It cost $65. It came with a tube of adhesivive (silicone I think). I first wanted to do a test fit. It snapped into place so well, I just left it. It has never squeaked or rattled and still looks like brand new. -AL Swanson '73 914 2.0L
