I own a 914/4 2.0 and have always wondered if I could find a 914/6 engine, would it just bolt right in the existing space, or does it involve a major overhaul.

Cause they dont know what they are doing or what they need to make it happen ?

yes - the original question was not how long would it take an experienced conversion specialist, it was how long does it take the person who knows nothing about Porsches to do it himself.

it only take a few small parts you didn't know you needed and had to order from a dealer or a specialist to tack on a couple of months.

i know YOU can do it in way less time - you've been down this path before.
