I burn out both my brake light elements when I apply the brakes. Replaced the switch at the pedal cluster and cleaned the taillight housing contacts.

Bad ground?

Thanks

That is really bizarre. These are 1157 bulbs correct? They are rated for 12V and shouldn't die when energized.

The only thing I could think would be a bad ground or VBAT that constantly opened and closed the circuit.

Did this just start happening?

Yes, just started happening.

Old bulbs were probably in for the last 20 years!

VBAT?

Thanks
