Yes, I've been working on these for awhile. The fist ones were copies of the best I could find, and not as good as OEM, I made then as cast molds using catalyzed rubber. Sometimes it didn't flow all the way as the pressure required to make these meant that I wound up throwing out about 1/2 of the ones I made. I cheated the formulation to make it flow better and found that didn't work as well.
The only choice was aluminum tooling. It can take the pressure and allow for using a compound that flows and and looks correct. Well I finally did it. I actually improved the little skinny part on the back edge of the seal so that it actually fills the little void in the indentation on the inside of the door. This is something the OEM current version does, but it's a little loose. So below is a picture of the OEM and one of my seals. Guess which one is mine. I'm posting in larger files so you can zoom in on the details. This is one of the big projects I've been trying to get off my plate for about 18 months. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Please put me down for one set and advise as to payment method.
I just purchased your bumper toppers and am both amazed and thankful that you have established a cottage industry to keep these cars alive. |

Thanks, I'll start taking money as soon as I get the product ready to ship. I'm awaiting raw material to show up. should be about 8-10 days, thenm I can start crainking these out. |
