I burn out both my brake light elements when I apply the brakes. Replaced the switch at the pedal cluster and cleaned the taillight housing contacts.

The dot type base can push the socket pin into the housing. It can also short the two if it bends the pins just right. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
