Looking at the fan on my 1.7 at the TDC area as you are looking left to right there are two 00's a red verticle mark and then an unpainted verticle mark....which of those are TDC...Thanks

Towards the rear of the engine, pop the engine tin metal tabs up over the edge of the case and push it back.
You can see the flywheel through a notch in the trans case. Through there you will see the TDC mark on the FW. I even use that mark to set the timing. It is much easier. |
