Trying to find info on the serial numbers for 901 transmissions. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Is there a site I can go to for info?

If it's a '70-Sept.-'72 tail shifter, it's a 914/11. If it's a late 1972-1976 and has a side shifter, it's a 914/12. Yours will have a number like this: HA xx (day) xx (month) x (year, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) The specs book lists no actual serial numbers (called "consecutive running numbers") for transmissions built after September 30, 1972. I don't know if that means they stopped numbering them. As for your number, its quite possible the trans could have been converted from tail shift to side shift.
