Hey teeners,
I am working on a project where I need the 76' 912E thermal reactor by-pass pipes to fit a 1.7/1.8 head. Does anyone know if they will fit? Thanks, Russ |

The 2.0 exhaust ports are in the same location as the 1.7 and 1.8 ones. Same fasteners, too. They may be slightly different shapes, but not enough that the pipes don't fit.
They should bolt right up to the heads. I don't know about clearance to anything else (e.g., engine mount bar, etc.) but they'll at least fit the heads. Remember, the 75 1.8 and 75 2.0 used the exact same exhaust as each other (depending on destination market), and the 912E basic motor was identical to the 75-76 2.0 motor. --DD |
